LEGO set 10276 is the Colosseum, an epic and monumental model based on the famous Flavian Amphitheatre in Rome, Italy.

Released in 2020, this set was, at the time of its release, the largest LEGO set ever made by piece count, containing an astounding 9,036 pieces. It is designed as an advanced building project aimed at adult fans and collectors (recommended age 18+).

🏛️ Authentic Design and Architecture

The model is an extremely faithful and detailed recreation of the ancient landmark, capturing the structure’s distinctive elliptical shape and its partially ruined state.

• Three Stories of Arches: The model features the iconic arches and façade of the northern outer wall, which is detailed across three storeys. These stories are correctly adorned with columns representing the classical orders: Doric on the ground floor, Ionic on the second, and Corinthian on the third. The attic level is decorated with Corinthian pilasters.

• The Hypogeum: The model recreates the inner structure beneath the arena floor, known as the hypogeum, showcasing the elaborate underground network of ramps, cages, and tunnels where gladiators and animals were held.

• Display Base: The entire structure rests on a large, sturdy oval display base which is subtly angled and decorated with tiny, brick-built olive trees and surrounding architecture to give a sense of scale and realism.

• Massive Dimensions: The final model is a substantial display piece, measuring over $10.5”$ ($27\text{cm}$) high, $20.5”$ ($52\text{cm}$) wide, and $23.5”$ ($59\text{cm}$) deep.
