Explorers are invited to defend their mission and dodge a surprise as they delve into the LEGO City jungle on a thrilling Halftrack Mission. The set includes two brave minifigures—a male and female explorer—ready to face the wild, along with dangerous animal figures like a lurking panther and a spooky spider. The vehicles for the mission include a rugged half-track truck, which features tracks on its back wheels for traversing rough terrain and has storage space in the rear for the essential chain and tool elements. Also included is a fast ATV, which features a removable crate for supplies.

The adventure centers around a buildable temple structure that holds a precious diamond element and includes a trap function. The temple features a moveable stone, which, when shifted, grants access to the diamond but also releases a hidden spider for a surprise threat. To retrieve the treasure, explorers must move the stone, then hook the chain from the truck over the diamond to successfully pull it out of the temple. To handle the wildlife, they can toss the drumstick accessory to distract the prowling panther figure. The set includes a buildable campfire for rest and planning, and other accessory elements include a camera for documentation, a machete for clearing brush, a walkie-talkie for communication, and a pan.
