Young explorers are invited to watch their step as they discover exciting new things deep within the LEGO City jungle with the Jungle Mobile Lab. This adventure-packed set features a formidable truck, which serves as the Mobile Lab, complete with opening sides and a roof, as well as a two-minifigure cab for the drivers. The set includes four essential minifigures—a female explorer, a male explorer, a scientist, and a mechanic—plus dangerous jungle figures like a crocodile and a spider. The vehicles include the Mobile Lab and a kayak complete with a paddle for navigating the waterways.
The environment is rich with hazards and secrets, including a detailed waterfall build that features a slide function designed to suddenly reveal the hidden crocodile. There is also a swinging vine for maneuvering across the water, and stairs leading up to an ancient temple. This temple hides a treasure element beneath a moving leaf, ready for discovery. Another jungle danger is the buildable Venus flytrap plant, which has an opening and closing 'mouth' and a space perfectly sized for the spider figure. Play features allow kids to open the sides and top of the Jungle Mobile Lab to easily access all the equipment needed for the expedition. Explorers can grab the vine to swing across the water, being sure to avoid the snapping crocodile, or slide the crocodile through the waterfall for a sudden surprise. They must climb the temple stairs and use the machete accessory to clear away the leaf and find the treasure. For some exciting peril, they can push the top of the Venus flytrap down to trap the spider, or perhaps even the scientist’s camera. Accessory elements crucial for the expedition include a machete, a bag, a wrench, two cameras, a compass, and a gleaming diamond treasure. Once assembled, the Jungle Mobile Lab measures over 4 inches (12 cm) high, 7 inches (18 cm) long, and 2 inches (6 cm) wide. The waterfall measures over 3 inches (10 cm) high, 4 inches (12 cm) wide, and 6 inches (16 cm) deep. The menacing Venus flytrap with its 'mouth' closed measures over 1 inch (4 cm) high, 2 inches (6 cm) wide, and 1 inch (4 cm) deep. The small kayak measures over 4 inches (11 cm) long, and the crocodile figure measures over 4 inches (11 cm) long.
