The LEGO set 40145 is the LEGO Brand Retail Store, a promotional and exclusive item primarily given away during the Grand Opening events of new official LEGO Stores in 2015 and subsequent years.

This collectible set is a detailed, Minifigure-scale model of a modern LEGO retail location, containing approximately 413 pieces. The building is designed to look like a contemporary glass-fronted store and is constructed on a 16x16 stud baseplate, making it a compact yet substantial model

The key feature of the store is its interior, which is revealed by a side wall that is hinged to swing open, granting full access to the inner details. The interior faithfully replicates the elements found in a real LEGO Store, including a brick-built Pick-a-Brick (PAB) wall at the back, represented by a variety of colorful round tiles. Shelves are stocked with printed tiles and stickers representing mini versions of popular LEGO sets like LEGO City and LEGO Friends. There is also a small cash register and a display area featuring an upscaled 2x4 brick model, a common fixture in real stores

A notable exterior feature is the brick-built character Brickley the Dragon adorning the store entrance, a fun nod to the company's unofficial mascot who appears in various store displays and signage.

The set includes one Minifigure, a female shopper, who comes with a brick-built shopping bag element to complete the scene of a successful shopping trip. The set is well-regarded for its detail and ability to integrate nicely with other sets in a LEGO City or Modular Building layout
